On Sunday night, it was reported by Pertamina, the state energy company of Indonesia that two crew members had passed away and some were missing after the incident of an oil tanker occurred where the tanker caught fire while carrying fuel to the islands of Bali and Lombok.
17 people were carried by the MT Kristin when the tanker caught fire exactly at 2:50 pm local time. There are no reports of an oil leak received yet, but, a 300-meter oil boom has been set up near the ship, and then it is being pulled up to a secure port.
It was also confirmed by the corporations that there is much fuel stock present at terminals in Lombok and Bali for making sure that all supplies are fulfilled. In addition, fuel from further areas is being shifted to these tourist hotspots.
