In October 2013 an actor named Ron Howard stopped by the HuffPost Live studio because they wanted to discuss one of his projects with him while talking with them Howard shared that the four decades of his marriage with his wife Cheryl Howard has been beyond his expectations.
When the host of HuffPost, Josh Zepps, asked Howard how he met with the future actress he answered him by saying that despite having many chances that their relationship would not last long, it grew fruitfully. Howard also explained that he was very lucky that he met her.
The father of four also told that they have been with each other since high school and married at a very young age and it was surprising how far they had come together.
“When we met, I felt fortunate. It’s absurd. Since we were adolescents, it shouldn’t have worked. We were both too young to be married, but it has worked well,” he said.
They first connected with each other at Burbank, California’s John Burroughs High School as a junior. The screenwriter also remarked that they instantly clicked when the first time they saw each other.
The Academy Award-winning filmmaker, spoke about his wife in June 2019, in a People interview; “I met her and realized that she was the one for me”. While celebrating their 44th anniversary this month the happy couple shared that the key to their healthy relationship is communication.
He clarified, “People ask me how I do it; there is no method. There is just one technique, and that is to communicate. You must develop the skills to communicate and handle challenging talks effectively.”
The director further said that it was all about his good luck that he found his sweetheart at a very young age and he considered himself a fortunate man for having Cheryl Howard in his life. According to him no no one can force people to keep their relationship long last either they want it do or do not.
The producer also told about their compatibility, that they had seen so many ups and downs together during his career and her wife always supported him in all the situations which they faced throughout their remarkable life.
It was also stated by him that the writer had been so much encouraging and understanding with him that’s why their compatibility has held up through all the situations.
Howard Ron portrayed Opie on “The Andy Griffin Show” when he was just five years old because of this show he has always been noteworthy.
His show aired on CBS Television from 1960-1968. Then he seemed like a Richie Cunningham on the other series named “Happy Days”.
Later he realized his love for becoming a camera operator.
According to Ron, he was an actor who always wanted to be a filmmaker. In His recent documentary “Pavarotti,” he examined the life and career of the famous opera singer Luciano Pavarotti.
Ron tied the knot with Cheryl in June 1975 and now after 47 years of happy married life, they are still in love with each other. In June 2021, when the couple was celebrating their anniversary the star of “The Da Vinci Code” admitted that they were going strong day by day together. He also posted a selfie with his wife on his Instagram account thanking her for all the beautiful time they spent together.
Ron uploaded a picture with Cheryl in which he wrote,
“Our 46th wedding anniversary. On my day off from directing, we celebrated in Australia quietly but exquisitely. I’m a fortunate man
The couple were all in happiness in the cuddly photo, with rose-colored tinfoil balloons, the balloons were in the shapes of a 4 and 6. In the picture, they both were smiling with pleasure by wearing glasses. The adorable couple celebrated their milestones journey.
Both the 67-year-old partners Ron and Cheryl still love each other the same as day one. Ron showed his love in his social media post where he commemorated their 50th first date anniversary in the year 2020. He posted on his Instagram account that he and Cheryl saw a movie together which was rereleased and then ate pizza from a bygone restaurant while reminiscing all the beautiful memories they had together.
“On November 1st, 1970, Cheryl and I went on our first date, he wrote. We visited the now-defunct Barnone’s in Toluca Lake after seeing Stanley Kramer’s “It’s a Mad World” in rerelease.”
A photo of his socks, which were imprinted with Cheryl’s face, was posted along with the article. Ron said they were heading to their neighborhood pizza business and celebrating their big day with the socks they ordered.
He continued by saying they would go in the identical vehicle they did fifty years ago. The 1970 VW Bug is the one the Oklahoma native drove to pick up his future bride, and he said of it: “It works fine. We agree.“
The couple remains happily married, and we couldn’t be happier for them!
