A former Versace model who spent $600,000 on cosmetic surgery to make her appear more like Kim Kardashian is later spending $120,000 to undo the entire treatment.
29-year-old Jennifer Pamplona spent 12 years of her life in getting cosmetic surgeries and went through 40 procedures worth $600k to look like famous model-come-actress Kim Kardashian. However, now Jenni want to revert to her natural looks.
The Brazilian mod said in an interview with Caters News Agency that,
“People would call me a Kardashian and it started to get annoying. I had worked and studied and was a businesswoman. I had done all these things and had all these achievements in my personal life, but I was only being recognized because I looked like a Kardashian.”
Telling about the details, Jennifer said that she had her first surgery when she was 17-year-old back in 2010 as she was obsessed with Kim after her fame rose. After first surgery, Jennifer got addicted to these looks transforming procedures, and decided to transform her entire appearance; repoted New York Times.
“I had worked and studied, and I became a businesswoman; I have launched my own cosmetics company, made investments, and have also done some acting on the side.”
The model reported to go through around 40 cosme processes that include fat injections, several bottom implants, and rhinoplasties etc.
“If I was to guess, it is over 40. It was an addiction and I got into a cycle of surgery equals fame and money, I just lost control of everything I went through a lot of hard times.” She said,
“At one point I was just having surgeries to look like a Kardashian, I couldn’t do my own things like acting, as I was just known as a Kardashian lookalike.”
Pamplona admitted to earn a lot of money due to her resemblance with Kim Kardashian, after she underwent surgeries.
Without a doubt, Jennifer’s transformation helped her gain international fame internationally and on social media where she got 1m followers, reported New York Times, however her true happiness was still lost.
“I discovered that I was addicted to surgery and I wasn’t happy, I was putting filler in my face like I was in the supermarket. It was an addiction and I got into a cycle of surgery equals fame and money, I just lost control of everything. I went through a lot of hard times.”
Pamplona realized she was suffering from rare condition body dysmorphia and after treating her depressive condition, decided to get her natural look back.
So, after endless research, pamplona found a surgeon in Istanbul who agreed to help the model.
“I saw on the computer beforehand how I would look and it was like I was having a rebirth.”
She also said,
“I had a face and neck lift, buccal fat removal, cat eye surgery, a lip lift, and a nose job all at once. I went into the operation room as one person and I came out as another.”
The 29-year-old reported that undergoing de-transition was never easy. The procedures were so painful that at one point she felt like dying.
“I thought I was dying, I was thinking to myself, ‘What the hell have I done with my life?”
“The best feeling is knowing I’m not in a fight with myself anymore, I am now who I wanted to be and I really now understand the meaning of life.
“There are people who make it [surgery] look good on Instagram but life isn’t perfect, and being addicted to surgery isn’t a good thing.”
However, after learning the lesson, Jennifer Pamplona is now aiming to help other people like her, suffering from dysmorphia. For this, she had opened a foundation in Brazil and recruited many doctors and experts for that.
“I feel like I can help a lot of people with my life story, but my face is beautiful and now I look even more beautiful,” she said.
